Schur International has with partners in Germany and Austria established a new holding company – Schur Flexible Holding – which has acquired Schur’s existing flexible packaging companies in Denmark, Germany, Holland and Poland as well as other flexible companies in Europe.

Schur International has retained full ownership of the flexible packaging companies in Flensburg, Germany and Schaumburg, USA which are producing the Schur®Star packaging system.

It is the intention that Schur Flexible Holding will expand its activities adding further companies to its portfolio in order to create a leading pan–European flexible packaging group. The focus will be on high performance converted flexible packaging products for the food, pet-food, tobacco and pharmaceutical/medical/cosmetics industries. 

CFS–Dixie Flexibles, a leading producer of high-barrier flexible packaging solutions, will be a member of this group.

Schur Flexible Holding will be managed by Mr Jakob Mosser, who together with Schur International is a significant shareholder in the new holding company. Jakob Mosser has managed and co-owned Unterland Flexible Packaging AG in Austria and for the last three years he has been the CEO of the Consumer Flexibles Division of Mondi.
