PLAYMOBIL has been looking for a versatile and flexible packaging solution for a variety of their toys. Until then they traditionally used carton boxes for their products and never changed the packaging before. The vision was to find a new solution that is attractive for young customers and offers significant advantages during the filling process. At the same time there was the need to keep the brand recognition alive and to be different from the competition.
Tarczyński is a major player in the polish food market and offers high quality cold meats. Together with one of their customers they have been discussing how to increase sales within the barbecue sausage segment for a long time.
They were looking for a possibility that offers premium quality packaging and a maximum in flexibility in the production and filling process. At the same time there was the need to be different from other products in this segment at the point-of-sale.
The chance to be different! - Hookah tobacco packaging
Historically hookah tobacco has been wrapped in three layers of film and one layer of paper with no reclosing feature. Packages of different providers look very similar and it´s hard for customers to differentiate between the brands. At the same time this tobacco is very sticky and difficult to handle in the packaging process.
The customers´ vision for the future product relaunch was to create a distinguishing feature and a significant competitive advantage.
