What you can expect: The Schur Group’s primary operations comprise the development, production and sale of cardboard and flexible packaging, packing and production machinery as well as complete packing systems. They are complemented by development, production and sale of distribution and post room equipment as well as storage and palletizing installations for newspapers, magazines, and advertising materials. We have developed a fully automated logistics system for printing works for this segment. An additional segment of our operations is the marketing of innovative consumer products and the DropStop® pourer. Aside from the parent company, each individual company within the Group has its own development, production, and sales operations. 

Your privacy and trust are important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect or receive and use your personal data and informs you of your data protection rights. It also lets you know how you can get in touch with us.

Schur only collects, processes, and stores the personal data that are required for meeting the objectives we have set. In addition, the law may define what type of data is necessary to collect and store for our operations. About how we process your personal data if you are a supplier or cooperation partner

We collect the following personal data about our suppliers and cooperation partners:

Information you give us when you enter into a delivery or cooperation agreement, including contact details (given name, middle name(s), surname, title, telephone number, and email address) and information you give us when you otherwise turn to us in the course of our cooperation.

We collect and process a lot of information when you use our website. This happens, e.g., in connection with regular access to information if you register for our newsletter or surveys, register as a user or subscriber, otherwise use services or make purchases on the website.

We typically collect and process the following types of data: Unique ID and technical data of your computer, tablet, or mobile telephone, IP number, geographic location as well as pages you click on (your interests). To the extent you grant your explicit consent thereto yourself and also input the information yourself, we also process; Your name, telephone number, email, address, and payment information. This will typically happen in connection with the setup of login.

What data do we use: Cookie-data, behavioral user insights, and where surveys are applicable, we may use contact details (given name, telephone number, email address).

Electronic Marketing

Activity: Where necessary we will obtain your consent for marketing communications to be sent to you using electronic means (e.g., e-mail, text, etc.), we may share your details for electronic marketing with our third-party partners. We will use profiling, including segmentation tools to deliver tailored marketing communications via (e.g., e-mail or text).

Marketing Activities using Cookies

About how we use your personal data in connection with Recruitment

When we receive applications and supporting documents, the submitted materials are read by a relevant manager in order to enable him or her to reply to and assess the content in relation to a certain job.

Applications and supporting documents are shared internally with all relevant stakeholders during the recruitment process and are not disclosed to anyone else outside the company. If you give your consent to this, your application may be shared with other subsidiaries within the Schur Group.

Applications and supporting documents are stored until the right candidate is found and the recruitment process is completed. The applications and supporting documents are subsequently deleted within not more than 3 months.

In the case of unsolicited applications, the applications and supporting materials are stored for not more than 6 months, whereupon they are deleted.

To be able to store applications and supporting documents for more than 6 months, we seek the applicant’s specific consent thereto.

 

3. Who do we share your personal data with.

We may share your personal data with:

  • Those third parties who need your personal data so we can provide you with the products or services you have signed up for, or are eligible for, or as you have otherwise agreed to or requested. Including storing, and processing data, and providers of IT solutions. For example, Schur may disclose and/or hand over your personal data to other suppliers and/or service providers in connection with our regular operations, including for the purpose of administration of our IT systems, analysis tasks, marketing tasks, debt collection, the credit assessment, etc. Such partners exclusively process data on our behalf and may not use them for their own purposes.
  • Third parties in the event we sell or buy any business or assets.
  • Social media companies.
  • Advertising networks and Google.
  • Email marketing provider.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation or requests, or to enforce these terms or to investigate actual or suspected breaches.

About the Schur Group, and how they may provide service support

The Schur Group consists of 12 different companies that all benefit from the corporate IT infrastructure and expertise that exists within our wider corporate structure. This means that the personal data you provide to us may be accessed by members of our group of companies only as necessary for service and system maintenance and support, aggregate analytics, business continuity, IT, and administrative purposes.

 

4. Information about international data transfers

We only use data processors in the EU or in countries that can provide sufficient protection for your data. However, we may share website personal data with suppliers or group companies located outside of the EU where this is necessary for the purposes described above.

 

5. How long do we hold your personal data for

Personal data are not stored for longer than required for fulfilling the purpose for which they have been collected unless such storage is necessary for meeting national legal requirements, including statutory logging periods. Once there is no longer a need for your personal data, we will ensure that it is deleted safely.

You may choose not to receive future news about Schur, our business areas, or advertising emails from us by using the unsubscribe links at the bottom of each email that you receive from us.

 

6. Your data protection rights

If you are a European resident, you have rights in connection with your personal data that, with effect from 25th May 2018 will include the following: to have access or be informed about your personal data, to withdraw consent where you have given it, to ask for that inaccurate data will be corrected or complete, and in some circumstances to restrict, request your personal data deleted, object to processing, or request portability of your personal data to another organization.

We aim to ensure that Schur deliver the best level of customer service. If you do need or want to get in touch with us for any reason regarding your data protection rights or if you wish to exercise your rights, please get in touch using the contact details displayed at the top of this policy. Please add into the subject header that your request relates to your data protection rights.

If you are unhappy and have a data protection related complaint, please contact us using the contact details displayed at the top. If you are not satisfied with our service, you also have the right to submit a complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency.

Request access 

You are entitled to always know what data we process about you, where it comes from and what we use it for. To the extent we disclose data in Denmark and abroad, you are also entitled to know how long we store your personal data for and who receives data about you.  

If you ask us about this, we can inform you about the data we process about you. However, such access can be limited out of consideration for the protection of other persons’ privacy, business secrets, and intellectual property rights.  

Request correction 

If you are of the opinion that the personal data, we process regarding you is inaccurate, you are entitled to have it corrected. You must turn to us and inform us where such inaccuracies are located and how they can be corrected. 

Request erasure 

In some cases, we will be under an obligation to delete your personal data. This applies, for example, if you withdraw a consent that you have possibly given. If you are of the opinion that your data is no longer necessary for the purposes that they have been collected, you may ask to have them deleted.  

Withdraw consent 

You are entitled to object to the way we process your personal data. You can also object to our disclosure of your data for marketing purposes. You can use the contact details at the top to send such an objection. If your objection is justified, we will make sure to discontinue the processing of your personal data.   

Request data portability 

Where you would like to have your data transferred to another data controller or data processor, you are entitled to take advantage of the option of data portability.
